Meet my wolf spider
My wolf spider was my first true spider (Araneomorphae). She eats more frequently than my tarantulas, so she grows much faster. That forced me to adjust my usual care routine.
It’s really fascinating to see how different spiders can be from one another, especially watching how wolf spiders hunt!
Since I don’t know if she’s male or female yet, she doesn’t have a real name. So for now, we’ll just call her Wolfie!
(P.S. I usually refer to spiders as “she” if I don’t know the sex yet. In German the word for spider is feminine, so I kind of keep that habit in English. Calling animals “it” just feels wrong to me.)
